The Office of the Attorney General's Child Support Division is seeking highly motivated and mission-driven individuals to join their team as Assistant Attorneys General. These AAGs will represent the state of Texas in family law proceedings, with a focus on establishing paternity, obtaining court orders for financial support and healthcare coverage for children, and enforcing and modifying child support orders.

Responsibilities include representing the state in legal proceedings, providing legal advice and consultation, and developing and delivering training. AAGs will also have the opportunity to gain trial court experience, negotiate court orders, and become experts in various areas of family law. This is a full-time position with a healthy work-life balance and opportunities for professional development and collaboration with colleagues across the state.

Qualifications for this position include a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in the state of Texas, and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of legal experience, specifically in family law, as well as the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
