Washington National Tax Office Senior Manager Technical Writer

FORVIS is seeking a Senior Manager of Tax Technical Writing to join our Washington National Tax Office (WNTO) team. This individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the WNTO and the broader FORVIS team to produce timely, relevant and insightful tax content in a variety of formats. This position requires an uncommon commitment to technical excellence, a practical understanding of tax matters, and a passion for writing and creating knowledge share materials.

Responsibilities:

Monitor evolving legislation and guidance and draft timely tax news alerts
Collaborate with WNTO members to write knowledge share content based on insights and analysis of evolving legislation, guidance, and case law
Develop impactful materials for presentations and other connection points with the market
Create clear communications for deploying service model platforms, strategies, and solutions across the FORVIS tax practice
Build the FORVIS network of key relationships
Support communications and marketing around new service offerings

Qualifications:


10 or more years of experience working with a large accounting firm, law firm, relevant tax policy-making entity, or a publisher of technical materials in the areas of law and taxation
Experience authoring and/or editing articles on accounting, finance, or tax issues
CPA license and/or preferred

Desired Skills and Attributes:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex and evolving tax issues to the marketplace
Ability to efficiently read and understand evolving tax authority
Meticulous attention to detail
Sense of urgency and ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines
Strong understanding of communication channels and frameworks
Continuous learning and a commitment to excellence
Passion for serving and developing others through impactful communications
