## Business Transactional & Estate Planning Associate Attorney – Kalamazoo

Law firm is seeking an experienced Business Transactional & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join our Portage office. The successful candidate should have 6+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting/review and general corporate advising, as well as experience and interest in estate planning and providing strategic solutions.

### Responsibilities

* Prepare and negotiate various transactional documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, loan document, joint venture agreement, shareholder agreements, and operating agreements.
* Manage and develop a business and transactional practice in the Kalamazoo/Portage market.
* Interpret and provide guidance on laws, rulings and regulations governing businesses.
* Stay apprised of legal and regulatory developments affecting business clients.
* Assist clients in drafting and implementing legal documents.
* Assist clients in determining the specific distribution of their estate.
* Advise clients about retirement plans, life insurance policies and charitable contributions.
