Job Duties: - Research complex situations and conduct thorough research to provide detailed reports and recommendations. - Obtain and manipulate data from clients for annual escheat returns using various software systems. - Identify and apply appropriate exemptions/deferrals and reconcile data for accurate reporting. - Respond to notices from state authorities and assist with due diligence and payment processing. - Draft memorandums and opinions on escheat issues and assist with planning and internal control procedures. - Represent clients in unclaimed property audits and voluntary disclosures, as well as identify gift card planning opportunities. - Compile and organize relevant data for analysis and assist with client refunds and remediation procedures. - Develop exposure quantification models and assist with consultative selling strategies. - Stay updated on relevant unclaimed property statutory, regulatory, and case law changes. - Utilize various software systems and maintain knowledge of GL systems. - Supervise and train SALT Experienced Associates and Associates, evaluate their performance, and provide feedback. - Manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously and maintain relationships with internal and client personnel.
