Job Title: Associate Attorney - Bankruptcy Department

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Location: Remote position (North Carolina)

Brock & Scott, PLLC is a full service law firm with over 20 years of experience in serving the financial sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Bankruptcy Department. This is a remote position, with the attorney being admitted to practice in North Carolina.

As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for overseeing and working closely with support staff in drafting and reviewing all documentation associated with bankruptcy matters. This includes plan confirmation, motions for relief, contested matters, and adversary proceedings. You will also represent the interests of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, attend and argue motions and hearings, and work closely with clients throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and work closely with support staff in drafting and reviewing bankruptcy documents
- Represent the interests of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings
- Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes
- Attend and argue motions and other hearings
- Work closely with and provide legal counsel to clients throughout the process

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor degree and admission to the bar in North Carolina
- 3-5 years of experience, with a focus on creditor bankruptcy work
- Experience with bankruptcy is a plus
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate legal issues and obtain input and decision making within tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to improve processes
- Positive and service-oriented attitude
