Position Summary:

- Opportunity to develop and use latest tax technologies in real estate industry
- Serve clients and consult for major players in partnerships, Subchapter K, and REITS
- Solid understanding of partnership allocation methodologies and tax compliance process for real estate funds required
- Senior Tax Consultant role on growing team

Work You'll Do:

- Work within an engagement team to provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for various entities and their affiliates
- Perform detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns
- Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities
- Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information for tax returns
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff
- Attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific trainings

- Global leaders in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry
- Comprised of over 2,800 partners, managers, and staff
- Provides assurance and advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory, and consulting services to a broad range of Investment Management companies

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing client work papers and income tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Accreditation as a CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and tax compliance process for real estate funds
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on work and clients served

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Experience with ASC740 accounting for income taxes
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
