Experience Required 2-5 years: Legal practice experience Preferred None # Associate Attorney – Foreclosure Orlans PC is a multi-jurisdictional law firm with operations in Michigan, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida, and the District of Columbia. Our Leesburg, VA office serves the real estate financial industry of Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware, and Virginia. We are currently looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team. ## Job Responsibilities The Associate Attorney will be responsible for reviewing files as they are assigned, developing, and communicating strategy, preparing pleadings and discovery requests, and handling title-related legal matters. This is a Remote/Hybrid opportunity with occasional team meetings in the Leesburg, VA office. The Attorney will be joining a team of experienced attorneys who specialize in representing investors, lenders, banks, and special servicers in loan transactions, bankruptcy proceedings, and default. We understand our clients' business, industry, challenges, and opportunities and take great pride in providing outstanding legal counsel and excellent representation. The major duties and responsibilities of the Associate Attorney include: - Reviewing files as they are assigned and developing strategies for handling files - Communicating strategies to clients, preparing and previewing pleadings, and communicating same with clients - Preparing and answering discovery requests, motions, and briefs - Attending hearings, preparing and communicating case status reports, and preparing billing reports - Any other related duties as assigned ## Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, Juris Doctor, be barred in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and have two to five years of legal practice experience, including experience in corporate law. Additionally, they should have a high level of ability to perform research and efficiently and effectively communicate results both verbally and in writing, including publication.
