Tax Manager - Accounting Methods and Periods:
- Responsible for providing tax consulting and advisory services related to revenue, expense, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory accounting
- Services include accounting method reviews, filing of accounting method or period changes, and participation in M&A structuring and diligence
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage teams of professionals
- Conduct research and write tax advice, opinion, and position memorandums
- Pursue AMP services for existing and prospective clients
- Build relationships with RSM managers, senior managers, and partners
- Train, mentor, develop, and grow AMP professionals

Responsibilities:
- Identify, manage, and review AMP projects with support from Washington National Tax office
- Understand financial accounting and current accounting pronouncements
- Manage delivery of AMP projects, including calculation of 481(a) adjustments and IRS exam support
- Research and write technical memoranda, legal basis disclosures, and responses to IRS inquiries
- Identify and pursue AMP services for existing and prospective clients
- Build relationships with RSM managers, senior managers, and partners
- Train, mentor, develop, and grow AMP professionals

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting with project management and mentorship experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex information
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with tax accounting methods and inventory
- Experience working for a national accounting firm in a specialized practice area
