The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is looking for a Tax Attorney to provide legal advice to the Agency on the full range of tax matters. The successful candidate will have a broad working knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, have the professional confidence to work autonomously, and be willing to assume one of the most unique and eclectic tax practices offered anywhere.

H2: Job Requirements

Agency-wide Requirements:

At least 18 years of age
Willing to move to the Washington, DC area
Able to complete security and medical evaluations
Registered for the Selective Service

Minimum Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school; . in Taxation preferred, but not required
At least a GPA on a 4-point scale
Active bar membership from any of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant legal experience with the ability to provide legal analysis and advice of the Internal Revenue Code, state and local tax laws, and all other applicable tax laws, tax treaties, and relevant Executive Orders.
Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA, including . citizenship and a background investigation

Desired Qualifications:

Legal analysis, reasoning and writing, including the ability to effectively integrate and synthesize facts and law to make legally sound decisions, including in compressed timeframes.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work both independently and as a team member in a demanding environment.
