As the Assistant General Counsel - IP, you will partner with R&D scientists and business leaders to provide legal advice to multiple business units. Your main responsibility will be to maximize our intellectual property assets through high quality patent applications, strategic patent prosecution, and leadership in protecting new products, processes, and trade secrets. In addition, you will negotiate IP legal matters on behalf of the company and provide IP leadership for special projects such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and financings.

This is a high-level position that requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. A . in a chemical discipline, Juris Doctorate, and registration to practice before the . Patent & Trademark Office are also required. Admittance to practice law in PA or eligibility for in-house admission in PA is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with R&D scientists and business leaders to provide legal advice and maximize intellectual property assets
- Negotiate intellectual property legal matters on behalf of the company
- Provide IP leadership for special projects such as acquisitions and joint ventures
- Support innovations and protect IP for global sustainability initiatives
- Serve as a key member of the global intellectual property attorney team and global law team with a high degree of coordination
- Operate in an innovative, fast-paced, and collaborative organization
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications with strong technical competence and strategic judgment

Qualifications:
- . in a chemical discipline
- Juris Doctorate
- Registered to practice before the . Patent & Trademark Office
- Admitted in PA or in good standing in another state and eligible for in-house admission in PA
- Minimum 10 years of experience in intellectual property law (patents, trademarks, and trade secrets)
- Experience with both law firm and in-house positions preferred
- Experience with intellectual property litigation (patents and trade secrets) a plus
