Insurance Tax Manager - United States

The Insurance Tax Manager will be responsible for providing tax services to clients in the financial services industry, specifically insurance companies. This role will involve managing the impact of tax on their business and advising on local and overseas tax affairs. The manager will also act as a strategic consultant, providing guidance on business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners. Additionally, the manager will assist clients in understanding the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the tax issues affecting the domestic and/or international insurance industries.
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments.
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, and communicating value propositions.
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams and providing timely feedback.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred.
- Strong understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies.
