Varnum LLP is looking to hire an experienced Corporate Attorney to join the Corporate Practice Team. This position is open to any of the firm's Michigan offices.

The successful candidate will have 3-8 years of legal experience in general corporate work, contract review and drafting, and merger and acquisition transactions. They will possess excellent academic credentials, be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness, have exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate outstanding customer/client service skills. Admission to the Michigan bar is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Corporate Practice Team in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and similar transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and documents
- Provide legal advice to clients on business transactions
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Keep abreast of legal developments in the corporate field
