Duties:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorneys.
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role (property damage).
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Must meet expectations for billing goals.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and legal proceedings.
  • Knowledge of property damage law and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective counsel.
