Job Duties:

  • Provide thorough assessments and practical advice during the legal collection process.
  • Communicate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to negotiate resolutions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Document account/file activity according to firm and client policies.
  • Travel to various courts in the state and manage all aspects of case litigation.
  • Research laws, rulings, and regulations and formulate legal opinions.
  • Maintain responsive communication with clients to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Attend continuing education classes to stay informed of legal changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state.
  • Experience in consumer collection litigation preferred.
  • Knowledge of civil litigation process and state and federal consumer protection laws.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
