The Senior Counsel - Corporate & Transactions will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel and services to Nissan North America's management and employees, while managing and advising on complex corporate transactions. This position requires a Juris Doctorate from a top-rated law school and Bar Admission in at least one . jurisdiction, with eligibility to be admitted in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate/commercial transaction matters, with a focus on managing sophisticated transactions and a track record of successfully partnering with key functional areas of the business.

Experience Information:

- Minimum of 10 years of legal professional experience
- Experience in managing sophisticated commercial and corporate transactions
- Experience in effectively managing a budget
- Successful partnering with key functional areas of the business

Job Functions:

- Manage and coordinate legal aspects of all company corporate transactions
- Lead responsibility for drafting, advising, and negotiating such transactions
- Management of outside counsel and budgeting
- Advise NNA leadership and internal clients on all relevant legal matters
- Develop strategies for cost-effective approaches to NNA legal activity
- Maintain and build a high-performance team through enhanced training and mentoring
- Develop, implement and monitor KPIs to ensure tracking of performance on legal activity

Required Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate from a top-rated law school
- Bar Admission in at least one . jurisdiction and eligibility to be admitted in Tennessee
- Experience in managing sophisticated commercial and corporate transactions
- Experience in effectively managing a budget
- Successful partnering with key functional areas of the business
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, compelling, concise, and creative way
- Ability and authority to make clear, confident and sound decisions quickly
- Adaptable and flexible with confidence and energy to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while handling multiple projects
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to manage people and multi-functioning teams
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters
- Knowledge of online legal research tools
