This job posting is for a full-time Tax Manager position at RSM, a leading provider of professional services to the middle market globally. As a member of the Credits, Incentives and Methods group, you will be responsible for providing tax consulting and advisory services related to the timing of recognizing revenue, expense, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory accounting. This includes working with regulatory changes, tax planning/optimization, liquidity, and preparing for transactions. As a member of the Credits, Incentives, & Methods group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and interact with both internal tax professionals and external client stakeholders.

Salary Information: $95,400 - $207,000

Experience Information: 5+ years of experience in public accounting, CPA or JD required, 3+ years of experience working with tax accounting methods and inventory preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tax consulting and advisory services related to revenue, expense, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory accounting
- Manage and review AMP projects with the support of Washington National Tax office
- Research and write tax advice, opinion, and position memorandums
- Collaborate with RSM Managers, Sr. Managers, and Partners
- Pursue AMP services for existing and potential clients
- Build relationships and collaborate with RSM's Enterprise Account Leaders
- Train, mentor, and develop AMP professionals

Qualifications:

- Minimum . or . degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting with project management and mentorship experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teams and clients

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masters in Accounting, Tax, or related field; MBA, JD/LLM
- 3+ years of experience working with tax accounting methods and inventory
- Experience in a specialized practice area at a national accounting firm
