Job Overview: A law firm in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to work with some of the Firm’s most active and experienced litigation attorneys, preparing and trying high-stakes civil cases. The ideal candidate must be a team player, open to instruction and training, and aspire to become a first-chair trial attorney.

Duties:

  • Prepare and try high-stakes civil cases under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
  • Communicate complex legal matters concisely and effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Examine and analyze cases and documents for inherent legal risks.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute litigation strategies.
  • Take on increased levels of responsibility as skills and experience grow.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in Nebraska or currently eligible to become licensed.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Nebraska State Bar or eligibility for admission.
