Organization: Legal Aid Organization Department: Special Populations Projects Job Title: Managing Attorney - Veterans & Returning Citizens H1: Join Our Team as the Managing Attorney for Special Populations Projects H2: Make a Difference in the Lives of Veterans, Returning Citizens, and Immigrants Description: - Lead and manage projects focused on special populations including veterans, returning citizens, and immigrants and refugees - Collaborate with Practice Groups and organizational leaders to develop project goals and plans - Supervise and mentor staff assigned to special population projects - Coordinate client services with other management team members - Actively participate in Practice Groups to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of client services - Develop and maintain relationships with the private bar, community organizations, legal aid organizations, public officials, media, and funders - Perform other duties as required - Opportunity to lead different projects in the future Requirements: - Proven commitment to legal services for the poor - Professionalism and excellent persuasive abilities - Strong legal writing skills - Good interpersonal skills - Broad range of general civil practice experience preferred - Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of personalities - Self-motivated and creative - Prior supervisory experience is valuable - Ability to work effectively with community groups - Minimum of five years of legal experience preferred - Must be licensed to practice in Ohio - Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) highly desirable but not necessary Salary Information: - Salary: $98150+ DOE - Excellent benefit package included
