Meta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate General Counsel, Product & Privacy to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-functional initiatives involving complex legal and regulatory issues related to data protection and privacy risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US privacy laws, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a passion for technology and its potential impact on society.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support Meta's global privacy program and ensure compliance with global privacy laws
- Work with business teams to assess the impact of privacy laws on HR and security processes and tools
- Develop and maintain expertise in relevant areas of law
- Collaborate with Legal, Policy, and Business teams on privacy matters, including CPRA, recruitment, and AI usage
- Engage with global privacy regulators on new privacy features and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

- . degree and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house
- Knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines
- Experience in litigation, regulatory, or security counseling

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house
- Employment law or HR experience
- Demonstrated expertise in privacy and data issues, particularly in HR data practices, data sharing, and privacy program management
- Experience with client counseling and using business judgment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams
- Previous experience at an internet services and technology company

Salary Information:

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
