The ideal candidate should possess solid academic credentials, strong writing and advocacy skills, and admission to the Bar. The role involves a focus on federal and state tax controversies, and candidates with prior government experience and an LLM in Taxation are welcomed. Some property tax experience is preferred. Duties: • Handle federal and state tax controversies, providing legal advice and representation. • Utilize strong writing and advocacy skills in legal proceedings. • Manage client interactions and maintain effective communication. • Stay informed on developments in state and local tax laws. • Collaborate with other attorneys and specialists within the firm. Requirements: • 11 years of experience as a State and Local Tax Attorney. • Solid academic credentials from a top law school. • Interest in federal and state tax controversies. • Prior government experience (state or federal) is a plus. • Some property tax experience is preferred. Education: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top law school. • LLM in Taxation (preferred). Certifications: Admission to the Bar.
