Staff Attorney Position with Legal Services Alabama, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama

LSA is one of the largest statewide law firms in Alabama, providing free legal advocacy to low-income Alabamians. The organization collaborates with others to address systemic issues caused by poverty and social justice inequities. We are seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team, providing legal representation in various civil matters to clients in the surrounding counties.

Position Responsibilities:

- Provide legal representation in civil matters, with a focus on estate, family, housing, consumer, education, public benefits, and unemployment law
- Serve clients in the Mobile office and surrounding counties
- Collaborate with other organizations to address systemic issues caused by poverty and social justice inequities

Qualifications:

- Admitted to the Alabama Bar
- Passion for serving low-income populations
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Bilingual candidates preferred

Salary and Benefits:

- Salary of $54,810, based on experience
- Excellent benefits package valued at approximately $19,000
- Includes six weeks of paid leave annually and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
