Salary: $105,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience and location)

Responsibilities:
- Review excess casualty claims to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of claim
- Evaluate, reserve, and dispose of assigned claims in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- Escalate coverage issues and recommend outside coverage counsel assignments
- Manage costs, including use of counsel and litigation costs
- Investigate potentially fraudulent claims and take appropriate action
- Make recommendations for settlement/disposition of claims
- Identify opportunities for contribution, subrogation, and risk transfer
- Prepare required reports for senior management
- Travel as needed for mediations or settlement conferences

Key Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree required, JD a plus
- Experience with New York Labor Law, Product Liability, and Complex litigation claims
- Proficient in analyzing coverage and drafting coverage correspondence
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of claims and litigation processes
- Valid state licenses as required
