Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to FERC regulations, policies, and case law.
  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings before FERC, including hearings and settlement negotiations.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and client communication.
  • Manage case files, documents, and deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in administrative law and/or energy regulation.
  • Interest in FERC administrative litigation involving oil and gas pipelines, FERC electricity regulation, and FERC Enforcement actions.
  • Experience with complex litigation research and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for admission.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in energy law or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FERC regulations and procedures is preferred.
