MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our successful asbestos practice group in any of our California office locations: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Walnut Creek. With over 20 years of experience, MG+M is a top-ranked law firm specializing in complex civil matters. As an Associate Attorney at MG+M, you will handle local and national accounts throughout the state of California. You will have the opportunity to independently manage a litigation caseload, conduct depositions, prepare witnesses for deposition and trial, and review and analyze discovery requests. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience in trial preparation and support, as well as maintaining accurate time records. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability. A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the state of California are also required. The ideal candidate will have experience with motion practice and depositions, and be capable of independent work in an organized and efficient manner. Superior research and writing skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters, are also essential. Salary Information: Salary range for this position is $115, to $185, annually. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Handle local and national accounts throughout the state of California. • Independently manage a litigation caseload. • Conduct depositions. • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. • Review and analyze discovery requests. • Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings. • Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing. • Trial preparation and support. • Maintain accurate time records. Candidate Requirements: • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability. • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. • Must be admitted to practice in the state of California. • Experience with motion practice and depositions. • Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions. • Capable of independent work. • Work in an organized and efficient manner. • Superior research and writing skills. • Ability to multi-task. • Ability to analyze complex matters.
