Job Summary:
Legal Aid of Southeastern PA, Inc. (LASP) is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as the Managing Attorney for its Bristol Office in Bucks County. The successful candidate will have a passion for public interest law and serving low-income individuals and families. This full-time position involves supervising, training, and motivating staff to provide high-quality legal services in accordance with program guidelines and professional standards. The Managing Attorney will also handle a caseload of poverty law issues, including consumer law, bankruptcy, public benefits, employment, expungements, and housing. Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to provide high-quality legal services to low-income individuals and families
• Ensure staff have accurate and timely information about legal issues within the office's scope of responsibility
• Evaluate staff and develop individual work plans
• Conduct regular case review meetings and assign cases based on program priorities
• Maximize the use of limited resources in service to clients
• Attend management meetings and provide updates on local office casework
• Liaise with the local community, including the Bucks County Bar and Judiciary
• Assist with recruiting and enhancing pro bono representation of clients
• Address client grievances according to program policies
• Support with recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and retaining qualified staff
• Ensure compliance with fiscal and personnel policies and procedures
• Assist with grant and contract applications
• Handle a caseload of poverty law issues

Qualifications:
• License to practice law in Pennsylvania or eligible for admission
• Minimum of three years' experience practicing law, preferably in a non-profit legal services environment
• Prior management experience in a legal setting preferred
• Proficiency in word processing, Outlook products, case management software, and online legal research tools
• Passionate commitment to public interest law and serving low-income individuals and vulnerable populations
• Strong written and oral advocacy and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Spanish language fluency desirable

Compensation and Benefits:
• Starting salary of $63,000 or higher, depending on experience and qualifications
• Excellent benefits, including employer-funded 401K, health insurance, ancillary benefits, and generous leave provisions
