A law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney for their Washington, DC location. This individual will be responsible for a range of duties and should possess specific qualifications, including:

Job Overview:

The Senior Attorney will be tasked with providing comprehensive legal support to the firm's clients, including drafting litigation documents, reviewing and responding to discovery requests, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. They will be expected to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and exhibit a high degree of professionalism in their interactions with clients, colleagues, and third parties.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience with drafting litigation documents, including motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.
  • State and federal court experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Admitted to practice law with a strong academic background from a nationally recognized school.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar and in good standing.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training related to litigation or health care law are desirable.
