Entergy, a leading energy company, is seeking a Corporate & Securities Attorney to join their team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and opportunities for growth, leadership, and collaboration with core team members.

As the Corporate & Securities Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and venture capital and start-up investments. This includes advising on deal structuring, drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, and leading legal negotiations on complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and guidance on corporate transactions
- Advise on deal structuring and lead legal negotiations
- Collaborate with corporate development, business, and functional teams on due diligence and risk assessments
- Assist with public and private securities offerings and other corporate financing matters
- Manage complex and sensitive projects with cross-functional teams
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing of a state bar
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant practice experience for Counsel Sr. position and 9+ years for Assistant General Counsel position
- Minimum 10 years of practice experience in M&A, capital markets, or securities law matters
- In-house experience and prior employment at a nationally recognized law firm is a plus
- Broad-based knowledge and experience in the regulated electric utility business is a strong plus
- Excellent academic credentials, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
