Location: Cambridge Employment Type: Full-Time Job Requisition ID: R-16340 Job Overview: Ipsen Bioscience, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Patent Counsel, Intellectual Property to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of intellectual property, including litigation, licensing, patent drafting and prosecution, due diligence, and strategic initiatives. The Patent Counsel will provide counsel to senior business leaders and collaborate with various departments within the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global patent law, as well as a scientific background in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute global patent strategies for commercial products, development candidates, and research programs - Prepare and prosecute patent applications, including oversight of outside counsel - Analyze competitive intellectual property positions and provide opinions on patentability and freedom-to-operate - Direct outside counsel in adversarial proceedings and IP litigation - Advise internal clients on IP issues and strategic decisions - Collaborate with Regulatory and Commercial teams to maximize product exclusivity and ensure compliance with patent regulations - Lead IP due diligence activities for business transactions - Review and negotiate IP provisions in agreements - Conduct internal IP training programs - Uphold high moral standards and business ethics Requirements: - . from an accredited . law school and admission to at least one state bar - Registered before the .
