-private-companies The Private Company Tax Director will be responsible for providing strategic tax planning and compliance services to privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals. They will lead a team of tax professionals and work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and provide personalized service plans. The Tax Director will also have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. This role requires up to 20% travel. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of tax professionals and provide strategic tax planning and compliance services to privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals. Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and provide personalized service plans. Experience the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Provide guidance and expertise on key issues such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies. Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to provide clients with the most current and effective tax strategies. Identify and develop new business opportunities by networking, negotiation, and persuasion. Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for a variety of entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials preferred. Deep understanding of ASC740 and technical proficiency in tax laws and regulations. Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to identify and sell potential new service opportunities. Strong understanding of wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies. Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment. Experience working with global networks of professional services firms, law firms, or corporate tax departments is preferred.
