We are currently seeking a Fair Lending Attorney to join our legal team and provide support on fair lending and banking/anti-discrimination, UDAAP, and/or Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice, counsel, and advocacy on fair lending & banking, UDAAP, and/or CRA requirements
• Interpret current and proposed laws and regulations applicable to all aspects of the product lifecycle, customer treatment, models and data use, channel strategy, and marketing
• Identify and mitigate risk, including supervision and evaluation of testing and monitoring and internal reviews
• Support company responses to government agency examinations and investigations, enforcement actions, private complaints, and litigation

Required Skills:

• Juris Doctor degree and licensed to practice law in at least one state where Bank of America does business
• 5+ years of relevant experience as an attorney in a law firm, government agency, or in-house environment
• Experience with anti-discrimination and consumer protection laws and regulations, including relevant federal/state/local fair lending & banking laws and/or UDAAP/UDAP laws

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in a government regulatory or enforcement agency
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with high-level business leaders
• Strong issue spotting, risk assessment, research, and problem-solving/analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other lawyers, compliance and risk professionals, etc.
• Excellent organizational/project management skills and attention to detail
• Initiative and strong work ethic; ability to work independently
• Client focused with an emphasis on prompt delivery of quality services
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with federal administrative rulemaking processes, administrative fair housing complaints, statistical analysis and/or algorithmic models, supervisory examinations, targeted reviews of business practices, and/or managing the work of investigators, paralegals, and/or other professionals

Education Requirement: Juris Doctor

Work Schedule: 1st shift (United States of America), 40 hours per week

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Travel: Yes, 5% of the time
