About the Role:
- Opportunity for a skilled lawyer to join the Product Legal team at Uber
- Support Uber's Consumer Vehicles products
- Centralized ownership of all product-related legal work in HQ
- Provide guidance and support to US operations teams
- Focus on product development counseling, regulatory advising, and commercial transactions for Carshare and Uber Rent products
- Can be based in Washington, DC, San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY
- Report to a Director focused on Mobility Product Legal

What You'll Do:
- Act as a trusted business partner and provide timely and business-focused advice to the Consumer Vehicles team
- Lead legal reviews of new product expansions, features, and market launches for Carshare and Uber Rent
- Perform regulatory diligence for new market launches, including direct engagement with regulatory authorities
- Draft and negotiate contracts with vendors/rental car companies for Carshare and Uber Rent products
- Assist with legal reviews for other product proposals within the Mobility team
- Work collaboratively with internal and regional legal teams
- Communicate effectively to support a high-performing, diverse team

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience focused on contract negotiations, regulatory work, and/or product counseling OR minimum 4 years of legal experience plus 1 year of internal Uber experience

Salary Information:
- For New York, NY-based roles: USD$198,000 - USD$220,000 per year
- For San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD$198,000 - USD$220,000 per year
- For Washington, DC-based roles: USD$198,000 - USD$220,000 per year
- Eligible for Uber's bonus program and may receive equity awards and other types of compensation
