What You'll Do:

- Spend at least half (potentially 100%) of your time serving non-profit clients
- Focus on providing tax compliance and consulting services
- Work directly with sophisticated clients
- Manage the tax engagement team
- Access to an elite group of specialists
- Strong support system from firm leadership
- Regular interaction with like-minded Tax-Exempt specialists

Responsibilities Include:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships
- Advise clients on a variety of tax issues
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Provide technical training, leadership, counseling, and career guidance

The Team:

- National team of experienced professionals dedicated to serving non-profit organizations
- Comprised of PPMDS, multi-state tax compliance, international tax compliance and consulting, and transfer tax planning specialists
- Teams with Consulting, Audit & Assurance, and Advisory colleagues on client projects
- Some members fully dedicated to serving non-profit clients

Deloitte's Global Center for Excellence in Philanthropy ("GCEP"):

- Cross-functional team comprised of tax, audit, and consulting professionals
- Serves innovative individuals, companies, and nonprofits working to drive societal change
- Decades of experience in philanthropic tax advisory services

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years' experience in federal taxation with a focus on tax-exempt organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
- CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or other relevant certification
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Strong understanding of federal tax compliance and research
- Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring for tax-exempt organizations
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Management experience and strong analytical skills

Salary Information:

- Wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions
- Range estimate: $84,980 to $193,440
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
