BDO, a leading global professional services firm, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our Core Tax Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, identifying ways to minimize tax burden and compliance costs, and acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, with a preference for a Masters in Accountancy or Taxation. Additionally, a CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) is required. Five or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience is also required, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Reporting to the Tax Partner, the Core Tax Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance process, conducting top level reviews of tax returns and resolving any tax issues with clients. They will also be involved in tax research and consulting, identifying efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits and decrease current and future taxes. The Core Tax Services Manager will also be responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of one or more areas of taxation and may be required to organize and conduct internal training sessions in their area of specialization.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills. They must also have the ability to effectively delegate work and manage a team of tax professionals. Executive presence and the ability to act as the primary client contact for presentation of issues and resolutions are also important qualities for this role.
