Duties:

  • Handle transaction-related filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Engage in rate cases and other administrative litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
  • Demonstrate initiative and independent working skills within a collaborative team setting.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in electric regulation, preferably in cost-based and/or market-based rates, organized energy markets, and FPA Section 203 transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills.
  • Proven track record of initiative and independent working skills within a group setting.
  • DC Bar membership, or the ability to waive into the DC Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • DC Bar membership or ability to waive into the DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with FERC's filing and eTariff systems and/or MBR database.
  • Experience practicing before FERC.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
