As an Insurance Defense Attorney specializing in bodily injury, you will have the opportunity to join one of Forbes' top employers for diversity in 2023. In this role, you will be a crucial member of our motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team, providing legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or the Progressive Insurance Companies in various court and arbitration settings. You will handle cases from start to finish, drafting legal pleadings, motions, and trial briefs, as well as negotiating settlements. Your work will also involve collaborating with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation, utilizing all appropriate defenses to achieve positive outcomes. Other responsibilities will include analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assessing claim values to determine risk exposure.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate (.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York
- 2 years of general/auto civil litigation experience

Compensation:

- $141,950-$167,000/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 40% of eligible earnings based on company performance
