As Lead Counsel for their product counseling department, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most significant cross-Meta services and technologies for youth users. This role offers a competitive salary range of $167,000/year to $233,000/year, as well as bonus, equity, and benefits.

Responsibilities:

As Lead Counsel, you will have the following responsibilities:

- Provide legal support and risk mitigation strategies for Meta's youth well-being product and engineering teams
- Offer holistic legal advice on various subject areas, including data protection/privacy, content regulation, competition, consumer protection, and data security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as policy, public affairs, product management, product marketing, and privacy to develop policies, launch products, and communicate externally
- Lead consensus building and coordination with other members of the legal team
- Stay up-to-date on youth laws and regulations to maintain subject matter expertise

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house
- Experience in product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, and/or privacy

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

- In-house legal experience
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Experience in prioritizing work and providing advice in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle projects involving different subject matters and support a dynamic portfolio of clients
- Familiarity with international legal requirements, particularly those related to youth privacy/data protection
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and time zones
