The Associate Tax Counsel will report to the Senior Tax Counsel - International Tax and will focus on US international tax planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen and extensive experience in international tax planning and technical aspects. Responsibilities:

- Provide expert advice on US international tax planning, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTC, and BEAT, for proposed M&A and internal restructurings.
- Stay current with existing and proposed tax legislation and identify planning opportunities.
- Lead tax planning and scenario modeling efforts and other efficiency-related initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in legal, operations, corporate development, finance, and treasury to implement tax planning strategies and minimize potential tax risks.
- Review contracts and collaborate with legal to ensure they align with the global tax structure.
- Work with a global tax team to achieve company goals.

Requirements:

- JD degree and active membership in a state bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, law firm, or in-house at a multi-national corporate group, with a strong understanding of international tax concepts and experience in corporate transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management and coordinate with other teams.
- Excellent tax research and analytical skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication of legal concepts and the ability to develop a positive narrative for tax positions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear advice in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to communicate recommendations based on risk analysis in a highly ambiguous environment.
