Organization Legal Services Alabama, Inc. (LSA) is a statewide law firm providing free civil legal advocacy to low-income Alabamians. They collaborate with others across the state and nation to find solutions to systemic issues caused by poverty and social justice inequities.

Job Description

The Staff Attorney position is an exciting opportunity for attorneys who are admitted to the Alabama Bar and who are passionate about serving low-income populations. The Staff Attorney will provide legal representation in civil legal matters with a primary focus on family, housing, consumer, education, and public benefits law. This position is based out of the Tuscaloosa regional office and will require some travel to the surrounding area.

• Strong legal writing and communication skills


• Preference is given to attorneys who are bilingual

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: $54,810 plus based upon experience


• Benefits: LSA offers an excellent benefits package valued at approximately $19,000, including six weeks of paid leave annually and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for each employee.
