Buckingham is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Family Law Partner to join their team. As a Family Law Attorney, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice, represent clients in court proceedings, negotiate settlements, and guide them through the complex legal processes. A portable book of business is required for this role and experience working with high net worth individuals is also strongly preferred.

H2: Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on family law matters to clients.
• Handle all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, paternity, and domestic violence.
• Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations, and legal precedent to build strong cases for clients.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and contracts.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and facilitate alternative dispute resolution methods to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals to strategize and develop effective case strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, documentation, and billing records.
• Stay updated on changes in family law and legal precedents through continuing legal education and professional development.
• Provide exceptional client service, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the legal process.
• Portable book of business is required.

H2: Requirements

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Ohio
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience practicing family law.
• In-depth knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and legal procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Empathy, compassion, and the ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations.
