Responsibilities and Duties

As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

- Reviewing case files and assessing legal and factual issues for discovery, motion, trial, and settlement purposes
- Preparing and responding to demand letters
- Drafting and responding to pleadings
- Utilizing all discovery tools effectively
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Appearing regularly in court proceedings
- Maintaining an accurate calendar for court dates, filing and response deadlines, and other important events
- Taking and defending depositions
- Managing relationships with clients, court personnel, colleagues, and opposing counsels
- Working with non-attorney staff to meet client needs

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in litigation
- Self-starter with the ability to multitask and work well with others
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Results-oriented team player
- Analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze various legal documents
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to court and other events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other legal software
