Tax Senior - Credits & Incentives Business Tax Services 39 Locations Position Summary: Deloitte Tax LLP is currently seeking a Tax Senior to join our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) practice. The Gi3 team provides comprehensive government credits and incentives (C&I) services across more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. With over 1,000 practitioners, our team is dedicated to providing top-notch services to some of the world's largest companies in a variety of industries. This position will require a passion for sustainability, community development, or cutting-edge research and development, as well as relevant experience in C&I. As a Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to work on complex tax incentive engagements and collaborate with colleagues from all member firms – Tax, Advisory, Consulting, and Audit and Assurance. Responsibilities: - Identify eligible federal C&I generating activities and manage and facilitate the analysis and documentation of such opportunities - Advise clients on potential benefits and eligibility requirements for various C&I opportunities - Maintain and develop strong internal and client relationships - Utilize technical skills to solve complex issues related to C&I - Develop, mentor, and motivate Consultants - Identify potential issues and propose solutions to leadership - Ensure accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables - Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and present potential opportunities to assist clients Qualifications: Required: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model - Ability to travel up to 25% - - 3+ years' experience in related field - Proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives and/or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits - Strong analytical and research skills, as well as effective communication skills - Ability to collaborate and develop internal and external working relationships - Strong organizational and time management skills - One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, Project Management Professional, or Chartered Financial Advisor Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Experience with tax technical research - Experience with Federal or State and Local C&I - Experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences - Previous Big 4 or large CPA or law firm experience Salary Information: The disclosed range estimate for this role is $66,570 to $151,580, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions at Deloitte are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Additionally, a discretionary annual incentive program may also be available for eligible candidates.
