Prudential is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Director, Corporate Counsel for Individual Life Insurance. This is a full-time position based in Newark, NJ, USA. The ideal candidate will have a JD degree from an accredited law school and 2-5 years of experience in a law firm, regulatory agency, or in-house legal department. They should also have a solid understanding of individual life insurance products and state and federal laws related to these products. The salary range for this role is $173,500 to $234,700. As a Director, Corporate Counsel, you will provide legal advice and support for all new business initiatives within the Individual Life Insurance department. This includes working closely with the business team during product development and launch, as well as providing counsel to the marketing team on advertising and sales materials. You will also collaborate with the Compliance and Risk Management departments to assess risks and develop monitoring procedures. Other responsibilities include representing Prudential in industry committees and managing outside counsel when needed. To be considered for this role, you must have a JD degree and be admitted to practice law in at least one state. You must also have the ability to register as in-house counsel in New Jersey, if not already admitted to the bar in that state. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a relevant legal field and strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with various levels within the company.
