We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished prosecutor to head our Homicide Bureau. Candidates should have extensive experience trying complex and challenging cases and have a record of successfully negotiating and dealing with the glare and pressure of intense media scrutiny. The ideal candidate will be an inspiration to the other assistants and provide leadership for one of the Office’s premier trial bureaus. The bureau chief should be able to teach the assistants how to advance to the next level of trial advocacy while embracing the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Qualification and Experience Qualifications: Interested applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the New York State bar in good standing and have at least 15 years post-J.D. experience. Applicants must also have: Extensive experience in handling all aspects of criminal investigation and prosecution. Substantial felony jury trial experience with cases involving homicides. Prior experience managing junior attorneys. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
