COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Join a dynamic and growing company as a Compliance Counsel, responsible for ensuring that the company complies with relevant laws and policies. As our Compliance Counsel, you will stay up-to-date on legal developments, interpret laws, and create and implement policies to maximize compliance and mitigate risk. With a focus on emerging market trends and technological advancements, you will work with various departments to ensure the company is taking appropriate measures to comply with regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend and develop compliance strategies across the organization
- Stay abreast of legal developments and analyze their applicability
- Review and revise company policies to ensure compliance
- Monitor federal and state legislative and regulatory developments
- Develop compliance materials and resources for each state
- Analyze business and compliance data for action plans
- Create educational materials for internal and external use
- Participate in industry-specific training and programs
- Promote company interests and relationships
- Manage corporate filings and adhere to Code of Ethics

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to research and respond promptly and accurately
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Independent decision-making and flexibility
- Willingness to take on special compliance projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with policies
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel and work overtime or weekends as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Law degree from an accredited school and license to practice
- 2-5 years of legal experience
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
- Experience with legislative and regulatory matters preferred
