Associate General Counsel, Commercial – Full-time Remote Position The Associate General Counsel, Commercial will play a crucial role in the growth and success of Ouster by serving as the primary legal contact for all global commercial matters. This full-time, remote position is perfect for an experienced attorney with a passion for technology and a desire to make a positive impact in the world. Key Responsibilities: - Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and amendments, such as customer agreements, reseller agreements, integrator agreements, and licensing agreements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial terms align with company objectives and priorities. - Stay informed of changing laws and regulations and ensure contractual compliance. - Develop contract templates and implement streamlined processes to improve efficiency. - Provide training and resources for the sales team. - Work on legal matters outside of core responsibilities as needed. - Offer creative legal guidance for new products and balance risk versus reward. Requirements: - . - Qualified to practice law in your jurisdiction. - 9+ years of experience in technology transactions, licensing, or other relevant transactional work. - Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex global commercial contracts and advise executive management. - Fluent in English, both verbal and written. - Experience working independently and globally. - Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Zoom. Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of in-house experience at hardware or hardware-based solutions companies. - Previous experience with emerging technologies and government or automotive counterparts. - Fluency in languages other than English, particularly German or French. Salary: $225,000 - $275,000 annually, dependent on skills, experience, location, and qualifications. This role may also offer equity and benefits.
