The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare clients with their transactional needs, focusing on the acquisitions of physician and dental practices, as well as representing behavioral health providers.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to healthcare transactions, specifically on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to private equity funds and healthcare providers involved in transactional activities.
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, including transactional agreements, contracts, and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth and efficient execution of transactions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to healthcare mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, preferably within a reputable law firm.
  • Proven experience working with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers in a legal capacity.
  • Additional experience or a strong interest in behavioral health transactions is considered a significant advantage.
  • High level of academic achievement with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Washington, DC Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
