Tax Supervisor - Financial Services/Capital Markets: - Responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the Capital Markets industry, including broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, investment banks, fintech, and proprietary trading & high-frequency trading firms. - Provides excellent client service by effectively communicating technical information in a non-technical manner, managing risk for both the client and the firm. - Interacts directly with clients to handle questions, concerns, and planning. - Develops, motivates, and trains team members at the staff level and interns. - Performs research and provides conclusions on specific tax issues. - Stays up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. - Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, 4+ years of experience in business taxation, and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD. - Preferred qualifications include a Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation, or MBA, as well as experience preparing and reviewing accounting for income taxes. - RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, including a generous time off policy and flexible scheduling. - RSM is an Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to providing equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. - The compensation range for this position is $75,600 - $154,100. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation, or MBA. - Experience preparing and reviewing accounting for income taxes. - ASC 740 experience.
