As a partner to Legal Aid Chicago, Legal Action works towards breaking cycles of poverty through complex litigation and policy advocacy. The intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the organization's mission.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research
- Draft memoranda and briefs
- Organize documents
- Conduct client interviews
- Collaborate with colleagues and allies on Legal Action's projects, including class action litigation, legislative advocacy, and administrative policy advocacy

Qualifications:
- Current law student at an accredited law school
- Available to work under a hybrid at-home/in-office model
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrated commitment to public service and breaking cycles of poverty

Term of Service:
- Full-time for 10 weeks
- Beginning approximately May 28th, 2024 and ending August 2nd, 2024
- Operates under a hybrid at-home/in-office model

Compensation:
- Unpaid position
