The Matian Firm, APC, a premier law firm in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking an admitted attorney for an Associate Criminal Defense Attorney position with potential for growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career with a well-established firm. As the Associate Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and work with a team of talented attorneys and legal assistants.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and draft legal documents for clients' criminal cases
- Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on the best strategies
- Manage court appearances, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Conduct legal research and analyze potential outcomes of cases
- Maintain a caseload and communicate with clients regularly
- Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases
- Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree
- Active bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)
- Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law through experience or coursework
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience with Case Management Software is a plus

Salary Information:

- Pay Range: $80,000 to $100,000 annual salary
- Possibility for higher pay depending on experience and performance
