We are seeking a dynamic attorney experienced in employment law. The ideal candidate will assist in employment law compliance, managing collections, reviewing contracts, and developing internal compliance and risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

Employment Law Compliance: Advise on matters related to employment law, including hiring practices, employee relations, workplace policies, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour laws.

Collections: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies for effective debt recovery while minimizing legal risks.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, employment contracts, and confidentiality agreements.

Compliance Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to monitor and enforce adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with internal teams to conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement.

Risk Management: Identify legal and regulatory risks associated with business operations and develop proactive strategies to mitigate exposure. Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on risk management best practices.

Litigation Management: Collaborate with external counsel to manage litigation matters, including employment disputes, contract disputes, and regulatory actions. Review legal documents, provide strategic guidance, and represent the company's interests in legal proceedings when necessary.

Legal Counsel: Provide guidance to senior management and department stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues impacting the business. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to inform decision-making.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on employment law
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing litigation matters and working with external counsel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
